More than what is, what might have been.

How boring would life be if everything turned out as planned?

You wake up every morning knowing what will happen, what won't.

By the end of the day, you know what did and didn't, do you ever think about what might have been?

Dreams of the future?

I have dreams of places similar to the one in this video.

So real, occasionally uncomfortable, I have to wake myself and try to put them aside.

Where do such thoughts come from if not our past or possibly our future?

I placed the Unlived characters where I have been. Have I done so where I will one day be?

How would you answer this question?

Who you would choose requires you imagine all those who would have been in your life had you made different choices.

You have an infinite number of people from which to choose.
The Unlived Lives Reckoning, the third and final book in the Unlived trilogy, is with Paula for production. (We're getting close EK Jones.)

As soon as Paula says we have what we will publish, I will send the final manuscript to JT Farrell for audiobook narration.

JT did a great job on both Raymond and Shelly, and I'm sure he will again on Reckoning. No easy task given the need to correctly pronounce foreign language dialog, Vietnamese, in particular.

Some of you are asking, "What's next?" That question is answered at the end of Reckoning. No peaking, finish the book first.

I wonder!

If you live long enough, maybe you'll have enough lives you did live not to care about the ones you didn't.

I'll ask my Aunt Ella at her 105th birthday party next month, she'll know.

So many variations of the lives she has lived.

She's not slowing down.

So many more ahead.

Will I?

I have more years behind than ahead; what will I do with whatever time is left to me?

I don't focus on what isn't. I look to what might be. Anticipation of what will come is always better than regretting what is no more.

The lives of Raymond, Shelly, Asian, and all the other visitors to Other Worlds Coffee have ended.

They now exist in the multiverse, visiting lives they would have lived had they made different choices.

I look to what might be.

You only have to imagine it.

Your choices put you where you are today. Where will you choose to be tomorrow?

You meet a stranger who tells you you've been dead for 46 years. What would you say to him?

If it were you. . .

Imagine yourself in Raymond's situation.

You live alone in downtown Seattle. You're not happy. You'd just like a place to have a quiet cup of coffee.

You end up at Other World's Coffee near the Seattle docks. You meet a stranger you call "Asian." He engages with you, and you lose track of time and place.

He asks, "How far do you want to go, Ray?"

How would you answer him?

The one you could have lived is out there.

It won't look for you. You must look for it.

You have an infinite number of unlived lives. Which one would you choose?

You can start again.

This woman walking among boulders and rocks is a metaphor for life.

She must be careful where she steps if she is to have any chance of reaching the horizon.

The decisions we make in life determine the only life we will live among an infinite number of lives we would have lived had we made different choices.

Raymond, Shelly, Asian, and the others chose to undo past mistakes.

What 'boulders' would you avoid to live a different life?
